Bebek Goreng depan Pasar Lempuyangan

Kali ini tempat yang kami kunjungi adalah didepan sebuah pasar. Orang-orang pasti tidak mengira ditempat yang seperti itu ada makanan yang bisa menggoyang lidah kamu semua. Terutama sekali bagi pencinta makanan pedas. Wow sambel disini enak banget deh (kalo kata pak Bondan ya “MAKNYUSSSS” gitu looh). Disini menyediakan makanan yang digoreng dan dibakar. Menunya seperti bebek, ayam, burung dara, lele dan ikan mas goreng ataupun bakar. Untuk sambelnya pada saat itu juga di uleknya jadi berupa sambel mentah yang terdiri dari bawang merah, bawang putih, tomat, cabe, garam dan bumbu penyedap. Kalo ingin yang super pedas bisa juga order sambel yang tanpa tomat. Wah itu sih bener-bener ‘HOT’ deh.

Pengalaman yang paling lucu adalah waktu kami ditanya jumlah nasi yang kami pesan. Si penjual bertanya apakah nasinya 2 atau 3? Dalam hati kami berdua heran sekali karenakan jelas-jelas disitu kami Cuma berdua kok ditawari nasinya 3, tapi setelah kami mulai makan ternyata 2 piring nasi itu memang tidak cukup, sebentar saja nasi dipiring kami habis dan kami langsung minta tambah 1 piring nasi lagi. Wah ternyata si penjual benar-benar sudah yakin bahwa makan disana pasti akan membuat orang makan nasi lebih dari 1 piring hahahahaha……. Dan dari pengalaman tersebut kami menilai tempat ini memang layak dikunjungi orang sebanyak itu dan kami beri skor 8,5 karena makanannya memang maknyussssss. Tapi bagi orang-orang yang tidak terbiasa makan dipinggir jalan maka mereka sudah pasti akan melewatkan tempat makan seenak ini.

Next time pada saat NSC (acara kantorku) aku akan ajak teman-temanku untuk makan disini. Yang jelas tidak mengecewakan untuk harga dan rasa yang nikmat seperti ini.

Hai, I’m coming back with the new story. This time I came to the restaurant with my old friend from jogja, but she already stay here for about 2,5 years but it’s the first time we met in Jakarta. She works for French company just like me. When she came to my office, I decided to ask her to the restaurant next door. I ask her to try Malaysian restaurant. Here are our menu today:

·       Hot Chocolate
·       New Perlis
·       Roti Canai
·       Lumpia Mayonaise

As usual I ordered my favourite drink “Hot Chocolate”, actually it’s not the right time to take hot menu but at that time I was feeling not well so better for me to choose hot drink than the cold one. I recommended you for the roti canai and lumpia mayonnaise, the taste is good. Usually I don’t like roti canai but here hmmm next time visit this place I will order roti canai because the taste is delicious and not like the other roti canai that I ever ate. And if you interesting to try this place, it’s located at Menara Karya Builiding, Jl. HR Rasuna Said.

Cup & Cino - Plaza Semanggi

Yesterday we went to Plaza Semanggi. I read that with manhattan card there will be 50% discount at Cup & Cino Plaza Semanggi, So we decide to visit that place. So after playing basket at Game Master we went there. After walking around for about 10 minutes to find the place, finally we found it. After read the menu, we decide to order some menu as the following:

Ice Cappucino

Garlic Bread

Spicy Fried Calamari

Nachos de carnes

Promotion Drink which made from blackcurrant and pineapple juice (I forgot the name)

But actually be careful when you order, because for promotion menu we can’t get 50% disc so better not order the promotion menu J

Overall for me the taste is so Italian but the place is not. And unfortunately, they didn’t separate between smoking and no smoking room so I think it’s not suitable for us who do not smoke. In Indonesia people don’t take attention to non smokers. They don’t care whether it can caused negative effect for people who do not smoke to be around the smokers. I hope someday people will take care of this.

Tanjung Lesung Resort - Ujung Kulon - East java

Tanjung lesung resort located at ujung kulon, east java. Actually the place is suitable for people who wanna take their honeymoon. It's very quite here and also far away from anywhere. For the food i give only 6 points because it's just like another hotel, the food is the same taste so that i lost my weight there coz i can't eat anything. But for somebody who loves international food it's maybe the best place for them. So nothing more to say i guess. If you wanna find the place to hide from everyone just go to Tanjung LEsung.

Coffee Bean And Tea Leaf - Jakarta

For us it's one of our favorite place to hang out. We are the coffee lovers so that we love to try some new coffee shop everywhere. And especially for Coffee Bean, It has a lot of delicious coffee to try. We already visited three place of Coffee Bean around Jakarta. First time we went to Coffee Bean at Plaza Senayan and the second time at Taman Anggrek Mall then last time we went to Coffee Bean at TIS Square at Tebet. The last place we visited is the best place for us because they separate between smokers and non smokers. For smokers there a place upstairs, while non smokers located downstairs. It's really comfortable for us, because the separation is very good so that as non smokers person we really not feeling smoke around us. And it was good for hang out for hours there.

It’s been long time since the last time I wrote my blog. Now I’d like to share a story about “Pondok Seafood”. We visit the one which located at Casablanca. The place and the food is good. We order :

1. Cumi Goreng tepung (Fried Squid with flour)

2. Ikan Kue Bakar (Grilled Kue à it’s a name of fish)

3. Cah Kangkung (it’s a kind of vegetables sauté with high temperature)

Over all I give this restaurant 8 points. You can visit this restaurant when you’re hungry or when you’re pass through Casablanca street. All the food here is fresh that’s why I give 8 points for it.

Ayam Goreng Pemuda Surabaya

Wow….aku menemukan restoran baru yang bener-bener enak lan nyaman. Udah gitu makanan favoritku pula….”ayam goring kampung” ….hmmm yummy……Namanya Ayam Goreng Pemuda Surabaya aka AGPS. Disini menu specialnya tentu aja ayam goreng tapi ada juga sih gorengan lain seperti usus, babat, cumi dan udang. Ada juga sop buntut dan sayur asem. Semua rasanya enak banget…..Tentu saja resto ini menjadi resto favorit keluarga ku selain harganya ga terlalu mahal ( sama dengan klo kita makan-makan di McD or AW) dan dijamin lebih sehat deh dibandingkan dengan junk food yang sehari-hari sering kita konsumsi.

Taste ayamnya tuh ya 3G….garing, guring dan gayeng (pokoknya ga kalah ama 3G yang lain deh). Aku rekomen banget klo kamu-kamu mau cari variasi restoran baru silahkan aja mampir ke AGPS. Dijamin ga kecewa dan nyam…nyam…pluk deh.

WINGS DOME 2nd edition

Actually we already been there for about one month ago. But because a lot of works to do, I couldn’t write it directly like I used to do. And also coz now I already got new laptop so I can feel the beat of writing anymore hehehe…….
Like I said in the title, it was the second time we went there. That time we ordered totally different menu from the previous time. We got special menu chicken wings and another kind of burger. I forgot name of burger but I think it was not too special just like another burger, the previous burger we order it’s more special and unique. But the chicken wings was really hot! I ordered the one with “sangat pedas=very hot” variable J And it’s really hot even for me who loves chili so much. And my friend call me “chili ghost”. Also another favourite menu of ours was onion ring. For drink I totally forgot the name but one of juice that we ordered made from “terong belanda (I don’t know what in English, couldn’t find it)”

BLACK STEER RESTAURANT (FAMOUS BBQ RIBS)

This Friday night we’re went to Ambassador Mall - Jakarta, this mall is our favorite place. We’re choose Black Steer Restaurant at 3rd floor as our choice tonight. Actually it’s not the first time I was visited this place, precisely it’s the third times I was here, but it’s the first time I went here with my beloved husband. We ordered baby calamari (fried calamari surrounding by flour), soup of the day (for tonight they serve corn crème soup), chicken kebab, half onion loaf, salmon steak (my husband new favorite food), he loves fish since he came back from Norway. For drink, we ordered ice latte (my husband favorite drink) as I told you before; iced latte is strong espresso coffee with a topping of frothed steamed milk. The espresso is made from French or Italian roast beans that have a shiny, dark, oily surface. For a refreshing summertime treat, pour the coffee over ice (using ice cubes made from coffee) then top with frothed steamed milk or soy milk. For an extra special treat, sprinkle either shredded coconut or chocolate shavings!, and I choose royal orange blossom, I was forget what fruit mixed in it but for everybody who loves fresh drink, I recommend you to order this kind of drink. At the end we ordered banana split for dessert. Banana Split is ice cream serve with banana around. Looks like we’re starving tonight.
Most of the food here is taste good. Even not too special but you must visit this place coz the place is cozy and private especially for a couple, its really special place and nice to have candle light dinner here.
And fortunately, when we’re had dinner here, there were some people practicing dance. Oh, it’s a great entertainment for us. Actually I can’t stand just sitting around and watching them, I really want to had dance with them hahahaha………coz they look so fun and relax. They were really enjoying their life. Uff, maybe when I am at their age I’ll be enjoying my life like them now. But it doesn’t mean that now I didn’t enjoying my life. I am enjoying my life now but in difference way, it’s time to take the challenge, opportunity and learn about life and also make any networking for the future plan. I hope in the future (not long time anymore) I can stay at home doing my work while watching my children playing around.
Then it’s already late at night, I had to go to the bed coz tomorrow there’re so many things to do, even tonight there’re some works I’ve done well. Thanks to my husband who really loves me and helps me so much, I love you too honey. You’re a great partner!

GLORIA JEAN’S COFFES

It’s another Friday nite story. Nothing special, just as usual, we were go to find a restaurant or just coffee shop trying new menu or just drinking a cup of coffe and spending the night together talking about our job, friends and another topics that interesting us. That night we choose Gloria Jeans Coffe located at Plaza Semanggi - Jakarta, looks like the place was comfortable for us. And besides that there’s 50% discount for some items. Precisely 4 items with discount, 2 for cold items and 2 for hot items. I choose crème brulee (it’s one of items with discount) and my husband order iced latte(regular price), his favourite menu.

Sudah lama sekali semenjak aku kehilangan laptopku dan banyaknya kerjaan yang bikin aku kehilangan waktu2 menyenangkan menulis blog dan melakukan hobi2ku yang lain. Dan hari ini sepertinya semua kembali normal walopun tetep aja sih ga seperti dulu. Semua sudah berubah dan ga akan seperti dulu lagi (klo seperti dulu lagi itu sih namanya kemunduran….). Kali ini aku mo cerita pengalaman makan di resto deket rumah. Namanya sih Cheapest Resto tapi sebenarnya harganya ga murah-murah amat J Waktu pertama kali datang ke tempat ini sih keliatannya asik banget pake live music, trus yang nyanyi cakep dan seksi wah pokoke co2 pasti suka ketempat ini walopun menurutku taste of the food sih standar aja. Not too special for me. Tapi tetep aja kemaren waktu baru nyampe di Jakarta lagi aku tetep aja ngajak suamiku mampir ke tempat ini (mungkin alas an utamanya karena deket rumah jadi sekalian jalan, gitu deh). Kali ini kami pesen steak dan kwetiauw goreng. Gak lupa juga pesen menu tetap kami apalagi klo bukan sup. Disini kami pesen sup asparagus dan Zoupa soup(duh sup ini lumayan enak tapi keluarnya lama banget padahal yang namanya supkan harusnya sebagai menu pembuka). Tapi zoupa soup ini menurut aku termasuk menu istimewa disini dan merupakan menu favoritku. Supnya lucu, dihidangkan di mangkuk yang ada gagangnya trus ditutupin ama croissant diatasnya. Trs pas mau makan lubangin aja tuh croissant trus celupin ke supnya, hmmmm yummy. Supnya berupa sup krim kental yang gurih, cocok banget deh ama croissantnya. Trs dihidangkan panas-panas, asik banget. Klo minumnya, aku pesen jus strawberry dan suamiku jus tomat tapi diatasnya dikasih es krim(jus baru kesukaannya tuh), padahal dulunya dia ga suka banget ama yang namanya tomat.

"Tumpeng"

It’s my son’s birthday. We didn’t plan to celebrate it. Only making tumpeng and call our family to come to our home.

Tumpeng is the way to serve rice and side dish in a cone shape. It’s Javanese tradition originally but now mostly Indonesian using tumpeng when they held some event for example wedding anniversary, birthday, independence day, etc. It usually using yellow rice or “nasi kuning”, although it can be used rice or “nasi uduk”. Tumpeng usually make for expression of gratitude to God or when we held “kenduri”. In some event which using tumpeng, we called it “tumpengan”.

There is tradition suggest that top of the cone serve for someone who is older or have higher position to respect them.

Some dishes serve with tumpeng are perkedel (made from potato), abon (meat fried until crisp), fried soy bean, egg/scramble egg, cucumber, and celery. Another variation of dishes are fried tempe, serundeng (meat spread with coconut granule), urap kacang panjang (indonesian traditional salad with coconut sauce), ikan asin or lele goreng (catfish), etc.

Wow it’s one of the cheapest steak restaurant. It’s suitable for teenage and college student. The taste is good enough. You know what, It’s one of my favourite place when I still in Jogja, because they have Milkshake in their menu. I really love Milkshake especially strawberry and vanilla. This place grow very fast, until now they have branch in Jakarta at Jl. Kalimalang (near my house).

Izzy Pizza - Kuningan

OMG, finally I have time to write anymore. It was a busy day lately. I didn’t have time to do anything and think about my lovely Blog. Next destination was Izzy Pizza – Kuningan. We ordered Mixed salad with extra breast chicken, Vanilla Izzy Icy, Tomato Cream Soup and Capricciosa. Hmmm…the taste is not bad. Even it’s not one of my favourite food but the place is special because there are some spice container that really unique and also some spice that we rarely seen in another place for example Black Papper, Tabasco, etc. Black papper container is the unique one, you must spin it if u want to spread it on your food. Food taste is not too special, I thought it’s the same like the other but Vanilla Izzy Icy is delicious, you should try it, even the portion is too small for me hehehehe……Overall the place is good, one of the cozy restaurant in Jakarta.

Sendang Kapitu - Jogjakarta

This Restaurant is far away from the city, but the place is so special. You can imagine it by looking at picture above. If it is a hotel than you can imagine it as a resort. This restaurant take place at Minggiran area.

Special menu here is the shrimp. Fresh and Delicious.

Unfortunatelly, I can’t eat shrimp. But for somebody like me, there are another menu like chicken, squid and fish.

Even though I know I can’t eat shrimp,but when everybody eat it, I can’t stand it anymore, I eat only one piece of shrimp. But it’s really really bad experience for me. My stomach can’t stand it, and then I have to throw up away everything within my stomach.Oh My God, along the way home I feel sickening. It’s really bad situation for me. But for shrimp mania, you can visit this place when you go to jogjakarta.

I’m a yoghurt lover. Yoghurt, yoğurt or yogurt, or less commonly yoghourt or yogourt (see spelling differences), is a dairy product produced by bacterial fermentation of milk. It can be made from any milk, but modern production is dominated by cow's milk. The fermentation of milk sugar (lactose) produces lactic acid, which acts on milk protein to give yoghurt its gel-like texture and characteristic tang. Yoghurt is often sold in a fruit, vanilla, or chocolate flavour, but can be unflavoured. (taken from wikipedia)

At first time I try to eat yoghurt, hmmmm it has strange taste. But next time I eat it, it’s really great and make me want it more and more. For me, it’s not enough to eat it one cup a day. But I’ll bankrupt if I following my desire to eat yoghurt more than one cup a day hahaha………………I already try so many brand of yoghurt. Most of imported yoghurt has great taste. But it doesn’t mean the local yoghurt not good. There are some brand has great taste too. Even not the same as the imported one but you may try these. Some local brand that you may try are Mela, Nice, and King. But for King you must mix it with another brand to get delicious taste.
I's like to add another info for you that emmi-swiss yoghurt is so delicious. The best yoghurt that i ever eat (my husbands says that it's really the same as the one that he eat at norway).

Toraya Coffée – Ambassador Mall

It’s one of our way to spend week end together without our cutie little sun J. We loved to have a cup of coffee or else while we are talking. My husband ordered Caramel Machiato (the special menu from Toraya Coffee) while I prefer to choose Caramel Apple Cinder and we also ordered Spring Roll.

Caramel Machiato made from coffe with Caramel inside and sowing with cream above it. It’s yummy! Whereas Caramel Apple Cinder is more delicious for me. The taste is great. It made from apple juice with caramel inside and also sowing with cream above it. I really love this kind of beverage. The Spring Roll is very crunchy. You may try this menu. You’ll not disappointed.

But for me this place is only recommended for smoker. If you are no smoking, you’ll be dislike this coffee shop, because there is no room for no smoking people.

Sate Kambing Session

On the way home, Me and my husband feeling hungry so we decide to stop by at a restaurant. After think for the moment we decide to eat Sate. Hmmm…….it’s one of my favourite food. I love any kind of sate. Like sate ayam ( small pieces of chicken roasted on skewer), sate kambing ( small pieces of goat meat roasted on skewer), sate bulus made from small freshwater or land turtle (ehm it was, now I can’t eat it because it forbidden in our religion), sate sapi ( small pieces of cow meat roasted on skewer), sate kerang ( small pieces of shell roasted on skewer), etc. But this afternoon we choose sate kambing and orange juice. It says that when we eat some food with high fat its better to have orange or lime with it to reduce fat.

Even it’s not the best “sate kambing” that I ever eat but it’s not too bad also. For people who loves sate kambing I recommended you to try sate kambing in front of Sunda Kelapa Mosque and near my House. It has good taste and not too expensive.

Wings Dome – Plaza Semanggi

After a long long time not spending Saturday night together, we got the time tonight. We decided to come to Plaza Semanggi. After looking around from Ground Floor to third Floor, we decided to try Wings Dome, because the place looks cozy and private. My husband ordered burger and pink guava. I ordered vegetables cream soup cream + appetizer. I don’t want to eat much because I’m not really hungry. Here we found out that there is burger with egg.Egg is my hubby favourite food so he is very excited founded that there was an egg within the burger. The taste is good and the size is big. It’s very suitable for my hubby. The vegetables cream soup cream is great too. It made from vegetables blended with potatoes. Drinks that we ordered are fresh and unique. I love it very much.

Boyong Kalegan – Yogya

Next destination is Jogja (my husband hometown). It’s one of my favourite place. There are a lot of memories here. I spent a few years of my life there. It’s been a hard and great years because I got a lot of knowledge and experience that making me stronger to face the future. And the best thing is I met my soulmate there.

There are a lot of great restaurant here. But I’m just visit some of them. So I have to go back to Jogja for many times J One of my favourite restaurant is the place where there is fishing area like Boyong Kalegan for example. It’s nice place because it has beautiful scenery and unique building made from “bamboo”. And u can find healthy food there also. Here u can ride raft, sing a song with the band and feed the fish.

One of my favourite food here is “Gurame” (it’s a kind of fish from fresh water) wheter it is grilled of fried, it’s very very delicious. The taste is salty and crisp, especially for fried “Gurame”, ummm it’s very crunchy. U can eat this “Gurame” with “lalapan”(raw vegetables) and “sambal mentah” or “sambal terasi”(sorry until now I still can’t find the best English word describe it). Unfortunately I forget to take a picture of “Gurame” because I already razzle-dazzle to eat,but I promise u, next time I go there, I will take the picure of “Gurame” (If Boyong Kalegan still there).

Patra Hotel – Bali

This time my Journey move to Bali. It’s the second time I went to Bali. Now I’m here with all my office co worker. Actually I want to share bad experience now, because all the food here is not good. The meat is not well cooked and stiff. So I lost my appetite. Then I go find another food. Wow there is cream soup over there, so I walked there with sparkling eyes and fully hope it would be good. But after the first spoon of soup come over my throat I stop eating because it’s also tasteless. Hik hik hik finally I just eat the fruit and drink a lot of juice hehehehehe………(the good point here is I ate healthy food even a little bit hungry at night kruk kruk kruk it’s the sound of my hungry stomach)

But til now I still don’t know where is the great restaurant in Bali. So if there is anyone who knows the best food ever in Bali, share with me please …………so when I go to bali again I can eat well (not another fast food anymore hehehehe)

It’s our Gala Dinner. Here, we could find many kind of food from kambing guling (I can’t find the synonym in English) til seafood again. Kambing guling it’s goat meat which is grilled and eat with soysauce. And one more time, I didn’t bring camera so no food picture anymore hikhikhik…….About the taste of the food I thought there is no special thing I could tell you. Honesty it’s very standar.

It’s the end of Lombok Tour, unluckily I forget the name of restaurant that I ever eat pelecing kangkung (one of traditional food). It’s made from kangkung(vegetables) with coconut spread above it, umm it’s so delicious and fresh very suitable for people who loves vegetables. Maybe we could say it’s one of Indonesian traditional salad like in Java we could find “urapan”.

It’s seafood party…;) We’ve had Barbeque here. So many seafood serve here. There are prawn, squid and variety of fish. Unfortunately I didn’t bring the camera so I can’t take the food picture but I can tell you the taste of the food. It’s really delicious especially for the squid, hmmm I couldn’t stop my mouth to eat it. Very very fresh and yummy but not healthy (high cholesterol food hahaha ….). But I think it’s ok as long as you don’t consume it every day. So, for all seafood lovers, Café Marina is one of the place in Lombok that you have to visit.

Hi, It’s My Second Blog. Here I want to share one of my hobbies that is people usually called “wisata kuliner”. At the old days, I never think to documented my culinary experiences, but when I got my first phone with camera and one slim and compact digital camera, I'd like to get the picture of the food and me of course ;) And I hope I can share my info with another food lover like me.
